from my desk #27 (I'm so creative with my titles, right?)

so how are you guys? It's been a while since my last letter. despite spending my days working sometimes i have the impression that i never do anything, i never have anything cool enough to share here mimimi but I did some stuff! here are the things i've done in the last few weeks: in an attempt to take off my tattoos I decided to draw fanarts of series and movies that I like and are very popular. I started with chihiro:

and here we have two tattoos from the series:

the second series is over the garden wall (love this show so much)

if you are a designer or just really enjoy this series, check out this link it has concept arts, scenarios, sketches, an infinite beauty of references and inspiration. originally they were going to be weekly series, but obviously I can't do one of those series a week, what were you thinking, samanta from the past?? anyway the next one will be coraline, which i confess i don't remember anything about, just button eyes and a black cat. but I put it to a vote on instagram swearing that sandman would win... today or tomorrow I'll watch it again.

did some cats:

you should try art:

my old man made a page on a rumble that, according to him, is the "new youtube".. I don't know, but anyway, if you like buggy go check out his page.

look at this happy face

I turned tiktoker, yeah, the old gal here decided to test the youth network. making a living from illustration, tattoos and comics requires a certain online presence. Of course, if the person is at the top of their niche, they don't need to be exposing themselves so much, but it's not my case (cry), especially in the tattoo world that is like 74% of my livelihood lately. but i like social network. actually I think I like it TOO MUCH and then I get kind of obsessive looking at it compulsively, analyzing likes and comments and that's bad because it's kind of an addiction, right? anyway, the youth network is very intuitive and easy to use and even someone like me who has never made videos is managing to make some. here's the link. I'm not gonna do the dances (nobody deserves to see me dancing)

I wish I were as good at dancing as elaine

this quote from Charlie Kaufman:

Say who you are, really say it in your life and in your work. Tell someone out there who is lost, someone not yet born, someone who won’t be born for 500 years. Your writing will be a record of your time. It can’t help but be that. But more importantly, if you’re honest about who you are, you’ll help that person be less lonely in their world because that person will recognise him or herself in you and that will give them hope.

thanks for reading! see you next month!
